Abstract :
The 2nd run of
the Large Hadron Collider started in 2015. Compared to the 1st run (2010-2012)
the proton-proton
collision energy was increased from 8 TeV to 13 TeV.
I will review the
1st LHC run, then describe the improvements for the 2nd run, and discuss
selected results
obtained based on the 2015+2016 data. I will also provide an outlook towards
the future plans
of the LHC and the experiments.
